I love it when a client tells me they’ve been following me on Instagram (which is by far my favourite social media channel) that they’ve watched my Facebook Live, yes all 44 minutes of it! and invested in skincare I’ve recommended, all before we’ve even met. These people, are MY people and nothing makes me more happy than when they find me and we work together.
There’s no awkwardness and no hard sell, its just really simple, they say ‘I like you and want to work with you’. The honesty on my website and the synchronicity with my social media speaks to them.
Its really important for me that my clients feel beautiful as well as look beautiful after a visit to me. Whether you’ve booked in for a 30 minute facial or a 3 hour tutorial, you will leave me feeling valued, cared for and that you have truly invested in yourself.
In January, I launched my home treatment room, the Little Room of Calm – a dedicated makeup and skincare room within my home in South Dorset. As an experienced spa therapist, I carefully researched each detail and that included my choice of products for my facials and massage. I took on the well known and much loved Neals Yard Remedies Organic products. My bridal trials, skincare and makeup tutorials and special occasion makeup also take place in this small but perfectly formed serene room.
I wondered if I should create another Facebook page for my shiny new venture, a page just for sharing treatment information and offers, but I decided not to do this. I’d created a good client base as a makeup artist and thought that blending my new services on my original page was the best way to go. But I knew I had a gap that needed filling. I wanted to offer something just for my loyal client base, the ones that love and trust what I do, who always come back and who recommend me to their friends and families.
And so, my exclusive, members only group was born. The ‘Little Room of Calm’
A place for me to share my skincare and makeup expertise
There’ll be videos, ‘how tos’, live sessions, product recommendations and I’ll be on hand to answer any burning questions you may have. An intimate place to ask questions, share stories and offer support and inspiration to each other – without it being plastered all over Facebook. It will just be between us members. We’ll have fun and you’ll really get to know me better too!
