ABOUT ME

Yoga teacher, wellbeing practitioner, bridal makeup artist, nervous system calmer, avid tea drinker and believer in wellbeing that actually fits into real life.

I grew up in Buckinghamshire and my working life started as a dental nurse straight out of college after studying Business and Finance. I know, it seems a bit random, but it was great experience and I genuinely liked it. From there I bounced around corporate jobs in hotels, pharmaceutical companies, security and leisure industries throughout my twenties before training as a beauty therapist at 22 and later qualifying as a makeup artist at 28.

I’m a Gemini – but don’t hold it against me

Looking back now, every version of my career has always involved people. Supporting people. Calming people. Helping people feel better about themselves in some way. I just didn’t realise that was the thread running through all of it at the time.

I spent 12 years living on the Isle of Portland in Dorset and it was there my business really began to grow. I worked in spas, trained as a massage therapist and built a bridal makeup business and eventually found myself booked every Saturday throughout wedding season. It was busy, exciting, exhausting and I absolutely loved it.

I offer wellness without the fluff

Makeup has always been part of my world. Growing up, my mum never left the house without mascara and lipstick on and I think that shaped my love of natural beauty from a really young age. Back then all we had were magazines and older friends or relatives to learn from, and if they were terrible at it, well, you just found your own way. There was no internet and definitely no YouTube tutorials teaching us how to do our makeup.

As a teenager I struggled with acne and it’s still something I manage now. That journey led me deep into skincare, holistic health and understanding how much our wellbeing affects how we feel in our skin. I’ve spent thousands over the years trying treatments, skincare and healing approaches, so trust me when I say I can absolutely tell you what’s worth your money and what really isn’t.

In my mid-thirties I trained as a massage therapist and worked within two Elemis spas while continuing my makeup business alongside holistic treatments from my home studio.

We moved to Cornwall and then lockdown happened. Like a lot of people, I found yoga at a time when I really needed grounding. And classic me, instead of simply enjoying yoga for myself, I became completely hooked and trained as a yoga teacher because I wanted to share it with everyone else too.

I bring a lighter energy to wellbeing practices

Now my work has naturally evolved into something much more around wellbeing, yoga and nervous system support for women.

I teach yoga classes, create retreats and wellbeing experiences, offer calming treatments and run my online membership, Claire’s Wellbeing Club. A space for women who want support without pressure and wellbeing without perfection.

I’m not interested in wellness that feels intimidating or performative. I’m much more interested in helping women feel calmer, steadier and more like themselves again.

Outside of work, I’m happiest practising yoga in my pyjamas first thing in the morning, drinking a good cup of tea, walking Elk or having long conversations about life. Small talk is not really my thing.

I’m child-free by choice, married to my biggest supporter (my husband, a very driven Aries) and we share our home with our lovely dog Elk and our curious cat Obsidian. They all make me laugh daily and I love the life we’ve created together.

I’ve had short hair since I was 19 and I think at this point it’s less of a hairstyle and more part of my identity.

Tea and a good laugh are my cures for most things

I LOVE:

→ Agatha Christie, history documentaries and old films
→ Earthy scents
→ Trousers not dresses
→ Flats not heels
→ Good brows
→ Food cooked by my husband (he’s a chef, and yes it’s great)

NOT REALLY MY THING:

→ Overly strong perfumes
→ Pretentious wellness
→ Feeling pressured to have it all together (even though my Virgo rising would have me think differently)
→ Small talk

You definitely don’t need to be perfect here

If you work with me, whether through yoga, wellbeing, treatments or bridal makeup, you can expect warmth, honesty and support without judgement.

I’ll probably remind you to unclench your jaw and this is always a reminder for me too. I’ll always encourage you to breathe a little deeper and if things become overwhelming, I’m very good in a crisis.

My approach to wellbeing is calm, grounded and deeply human. No pressure to become a different version of yourself. No perfectly curated wellness lifestyle required.

Just gentle support for real life
